User Safety Tips
Staying safe online is a shared responsibility. Here are some tips to help you have a positive experience on PrideChat:
- Protect your personal information: Avoid sharing your home address, financial details, or other sensitive information with people you haven't met in person.
- Control your location: Use the Hide Location feature to share your general area instead of your exact position. You can also disable GPS entirely in your privacy settings.
- Manage profile visibility: Use the Hide Profile feature to make your profile invisible to others when you want some privacy. You can show it again at any time.
- Take your time: There's no rush. Get to know someone through chat before sharing more personal details or agreeing to meet in person.
- Meet in public: If you decide to meet someone, choose a public place and let a friend know where you'll be.
- Trust your instincts: If something feels off, it probably is. Block and report anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable.

Block any user who makes you feel uncomfortable. You can also report profiles for inappropriate behaviour — our team reviews every report.
PIN Lock
Set a 4-digit PIN to lock the app. Your chats, photos, and profile stay protected even if your phone is unlocked.
Hide Profile
Instantly make your profile invisible to others. No one can see or message you until you choose to reappear.
Hide Location
Disable GPS sharing or set a passport location instead of your real address. You decide who knows where you are.
Photo Privacy
Choose which photos are visible to everyone and which are private. Control your gallery visibility at all times.
Mute Notifications
Mute push notifications from specific users or turn off all notifications when you need a break from the app.
