Your Safety Comes First
Finding connections should never come at the cost of your privacy or safety. At PrideChat, we have built a set of tools that give you control over who sees you, who can contact you, and how you protect your account. Here are five privacy features PrideChat offers to keep you safe while you connect.
1. Report Profiles with Specific Reasons
If you encounter a profile that makes you uncomfortable, reporting is straightforward. PrideChat offers six clear reporting categories so you can flag exactly what is wrong:
- Sexual Content — inappropriate or explicit material
- Abusive Content — harassment, threats, or bullying
- Violent Content — violent imagery or threats of harm
- Inappropriate Content — content that violates community standards
- Spam or Misleading — fake profiles or promotional content
- Other — a custom reason with a text description
Every report is reviewed. Users who violate our community guidelines are removed from the platform. You can report from both the profile screen and the chat screen — wherever you need it.
2. Block and Unblock Users
Sometimes you simply do not want someone to contact you. Blocking a user instantly prevents them from viewing your profile, sending you messages, or interacting with you on PrideChat.
Blocking works in both directions — you can block from the chat screen or directly from a user profile. If you change your mind, unblocking is just as easy. You can also view and manage a full list of everyone you have blocked from your profile settings.
3. PIN-Protected App Access
Your phone is personal — and sometimes shared. PrideChat includes a 6-digit PIN lock feature that protects your account on your device. When enabled, anyone opening the PrideChat app must enter your PIN before they can see your matches, chats, or profile.
You can also toggle the Always ask for PIN setting, which requires PIN entry every time the app is opened — an extra layer of privacy for shared devices or public spaces.
4. Hide Your Profile from Discover
Not ready to be seen? PrideChat lets you hide your profile from the Discover feed entirely. When this setting is on, your profile will not appear in other users swipe cards or search results. You can still use the app, message existing matches, and manage your account — but your profile stays invisible until you are ready to reappear.
This is ideal if you are taking a break, focusing on current conversations, or just want more control over your visibility.
5. Hide Your Location from Other Users
Location discovery is a core feature of PrideChat — but you control whether your location is shown. With the Hide Location toggle, your profile remains visible but your distance and city are not displayed to other users.
When enabled, your location appears as Unknown to everyone else. You can still see people nearby and match with them, but they will not be able to tell how far away you are.
Bonus: We Do Not Sell Your Data
Privacy is not just about app features — it is about how your information is handled. PrideChat does not sell your personal data to third parties. We generate revenue through business advertising, not by monetising user information. Your data is used to provide and improve the app experience — nothing more.
For full details, read our Privacy Policy.
Connect with Confidence
Whether you are chatting with a new match, exploring a new city, or just browsing profiles, these five privacy features give you control over your experience. Your safety is not an afterthought at PrideChat — it is built into the app from the ground up.
